In Search of a Double Stroller
There are so many baby items I got with my first, I couldn’t imagine needing more- until I was pregnant with my second. Then there were a few things I realized I didn’t get the first time, so I was sure to get the second. None were necessary, but they were fun to find. This round of infant required a Boppy pillow
Now, there is only one baby item left to buy that I honestly thought I wouldn’t need. But now having tried to walk to the park with a thirty-four pound toddler in a hiking backpack pushing his almost seventeen pound brother in the stroller, I’ve decided I want a double stroller. (Ironically, I should point out that my two boys together equal the amount of weight I’ve lost so far – it’s a bit disgusting to realize how heavy fifty odd pounds really is.)
Today I went in search of the double stroller. Now, I have a two-year-old, so I know I won’t use it very long. I’m not interested in paying full price, and don’t have time for garage sales, so I tried the local consignment shops. How can a stroller that retails for $170 be worth $112 second-hand? In my humble opinion, it’s not.
I’m going to now take my search online to eBay and maybe Craigslist. Once I have the stroller, I’m hoping to take the boys on leisurely walks to the park so that Jake can actually play outside again now that the heat index is only in the mid 90s. Wish me luck!
